How to play Russian Solitaire
Choose a round of Russian Solitaire and settle into its rules. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Use the example below to understand a decision. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Look at what changes after your first action.
Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.
Focus on one rule
Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Keep the objective visible.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Notice how the game responds to your input.
Step by step
- Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Use one clear input at a time.
A useful example
A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Choose a deliberate next step.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
