How to play Yukon Solitaire
Choose a round of Yukon Solitaire and settle into its rules. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.
One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Build a steady rhythm
Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Try to explain the aim in your own words.
Step by step
- Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.
A useful example
A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Look for the relevant detail.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
